Hamas: “We are close to concluding a truce in the Gaza Strip.” John Kirby: “We hope. But the work is not finished yet.”

How reports Euronews, Hamas says they are close to a truce in Gaza. As well as deals to free hostages, the White House assures. John Kirby, Pentagon spokesman and coordinator for strategic communications at the National Security Council in the White House, said:

“President Biden and the team here are doing everything they can to bring back the Hamas hostages, free them, including young children and, of course, Americans. We believe we are closer now than ever. We are hopeful. But the work is not done – yet it won’t be done completely.”

200 wounded Palestinians evacuated from an Indonesian hospital in Gaza City are admitted to Al Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, hours after the hospital was hit by a deadly Israeli strike. As a result, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health, at least 12 people were killed.

The Israeli army released video footage of ground operations and airstrikes in the Gaza Strip, including on a mosque. The IDF claims that a “weapons factory” was discovered there.

Relatives of the hostages held another protest. According to them, senior Israeli officials at a meeting with them made it clear that the release of prisoners was not a priority for them over the victory over Hamas. One of the hostages’ relatives, Udi Goren, says:

“We’re talking about people’s lives. And for us, especially our families, that should be a top priority. That doesn’t mean we should forget about destroying Hamas. Absolutely not. Nobody says that. Nobody talks about it. But we definitely unhappy with the prioritization.”

According to Palestinian media, at least 17 people were killed yesterday as a result of an Israeli airstrike on the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza. In total, according to Hamas, more than 13 thousand Palestinians have been killed since the beginning of the war, including more than 5.5 thousand children.

Meanwhile, the publication of “News of Israel” reportsthat since the start of the ground operation in the sector, more than 300 militants from various terrorist organizations have been detained. During interrogations, militants from Gaza admitted: terrorists wear doctor’s coats.

The IDF press service reports that the detained militants provided valuable and important information. Based on it, many targets were attacked in Gaza. In particular, the location of some tunnels and weapons warehouses became known. In total, information was received about 300 objects, and 100 were struck. In addition, those arrested talk about the tactics and methods of action of terrorists, including using the civilian population. One of those arrested said that at the Shifa hospital, the terrorists even dressed in doctor’s uniforms, despite the objections of the medical staff.

A source in the unit, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that thousands of calls were received from Gazans who complained about Hamas and the disaster that occurred due to the actions of the organization.
