An investigation has been launched into the death of a girl from electric shock in the bathroom


A preliminary investigation has been launched into the death of a 24-year-old woman who was electrocuted in the bathroom while she was showering.

The prosecutor ordered a preliminary investigation because there are doubts that it was an accident.

The incident occurred in the Panagia Laodigeitria area of ​​Thessaloniki on October 25. According to the conclusion of the forensic medical examination, Irini’s death was associated with electric shock, and the prosecutor’s resolution provided for the initiation of a criminal case.

In particular, the head of the Thessaloniki First Instance Prosecutor’s Office, Dimitris Smyrnis, instructed the criminal prosecution prosecutor to entrust the investigation to the Department for the Investigation of Crimes against Life of the Thessaloniki Security Service. When he returned, he found his cohabitant unconscious in the bathroom, which he reported to the ambulance service. Despite the efforts of rescuers, it was not possible to bring her back to life.

Later, the man, testifying to the AT Lefkos Pyrgos police officers, spoke about how it all happened. The investigation is ongoing.
