IDF captures Hamas stronghold in Gaza, strikes 450 targets


The Israel Defense Forces reported capturing a Hamas stronghold last night and striking 450 targets belonging to the terrorist group as part of Israel’s ongoing ground offensive in the Gaza Strip.

How reports The Times of Israel, the stronghold included observation posts, training areas and underground tunnels. Several militants were killed during the capture of this facility. Several Hamas field commanders have been killed in other battles.

IDF fighters carried out strikes on 450 Hamas targets over the past 24 hours, as a result of one of which the head of Hamas special operations, Jamal Musa, was killed, the publication writes.

The IDF also carried out strikes on Hamas targets, including command centers, additional anti-tank guided missile launch sites and observation posts. Earlier, the Israeli military said it had completely surrounded Gaza City and divided the coastal enclave in half.
