The Greek National Meteorological Service EMY released on Wednesday emergency bulletin warning of severe weather events.
Heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast from the evening of Wednesday 25 October until the evening of Thursday 26 October 2023, accompanied by high frequencies of lightning and localized hail. The western part of Greece will be mainly affected.

In the evening the area of Corfu-Paxos and Epirus.
Thursday, October 26
In the morning, the western part of the mainland and the rest of the Ionian Islands.
From midday, probably northwestern Peloponnese.
The intensity of weather phenomena will weaken starting from midday in northern areas and from the afternoon in other areas.
Weather in Attica
ERT meteorologist Mr. Panagiotis Yiannopoulos said that from evening until dawn, severe storms will occur in western Greece, Epirus and the Ionian Sea, and especially on the island of Corfu.
There will also be rain and showers in the western and eastern Aegean on Thursday, with the weather disturbance moving across Greece and possibly causing rain in the Attica region.
