The fresco of the monument to the victims of the Holocaust in Thessaloniki (northern Greece) was subjected to another act of vandalism on Sunday night.
Unknown vandals painted the inscription “Free Palestine – Jews = Nazis” and covered up the mural located at the city’s new railway station.
The mural is dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust and the thousands of Thessaloniki Jews who died in concentration camps. Thessaloniki had the largest Jewish diaspora in Greece. It was almost completely destroyed – 50 thousand people were killed.
