In Thessaloniki, a gang of minors periodically robbed passengers on city buses. The youngsters even used physical force – they tore gold chains from their necks.
Five young people aged 14-16 years are accused of criminal acts, four of whom have been arrested, and the fifth has been identified and is wanted.
According to police, the gang is involved in eight cases of robbery and four cases of theft (two from taxis and two from buses). The group was supposedly formed in July last year.
The minors were arrested yesterday afternoon, October 8, when, using physical violence, they removed a chain with a gold cross from the neck of a 74-year-old bus passenger. The incident occurred at the KTEL station in Menemeni.
The driver reported the situation to the emergency police service. The police arrived at the scene and arrested the juvenile bandits.
