According to the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, a Russian missile hit a grocery store in the village of Groza, Kupyansky district, Kharkov region. 49 deaths are already known.
The head of the Kharkov Regional State Administration Oleg Sinegubov reports:
“About 13:15, the Russians fired at a cafe and a store in the village of Groza, Kupyansky district, where there were many civilians. Rescuers are now working at the scene of the incident. As of now, the bodies of 48 dead people have been pulled out from under the rubble, among them a 6-year-old boy. “6 more people, including one child, were injured. Doctors are providing them with the necessary assistance. Rescue work at the scene continues.”
The President of Ukraine expressed condolences to those who lost loved ones and emphasized that Russian terror must be stopped. He noted that he is now talking with European leaders about strengthening Ukrainian air defense, strengthening soldiers, quotes “UP”:
“An indicative cruel Russian crime is a missile strike on an ordinary grocery store, an absolutely deliberate terrorist attack. Kupyansky district of the Kharkov region. As of this time, more than 49 deaths are known. My condolences! Assistance is being provided to the wounded… And we will respond to terrorists. Absolutely fair. And powerful. Everyone who helps Russia circumvent sanctions are criminals. Everyone who supports Russia so far supports evil. Russia needs this and similar terrorist attacks for only one thing: to make its genocidal aggression a new norm for the whole world. And I thank every leader, every people who supports us in protecting life!

- As a result of a missile strike in the village of Groza near Kupyansk, Kharkov region, at least 49 people were killed.
- According to the local governor, a six-year-old boy was among the dead.
- Several other people were injured, including a six-year-old girl.
The village of Groza was shelled at 13:15 local time (10:15 GMT).
