Dentist Pass: application deadline is October 22

Dentist Pass, the Department of Health’s preventive dental care program for children ages 6 to 12, funded by the Recovery Fund, launched on May 23 and is expected to reach 660,000 children.

The program emphasizes the importance preventative dentistryas well as proper informing of parents and children, and includes monitoring oral hygiene, cleaning and removing plaque, fluoridation and providing patients with appropriate recommendations.

The specified financial support is credited to the beneficiary parent or guardian on a bank debit card and can be used within six full calendar months after its issuance.

Dental/orthodontic clinics located in Greece and equipped with a POS with the corresponding code cooperate with the Dentist Pass program. The Dentist Pass is part of the action “Implementation of the National Public Health Prevention Program “Spyros Doxiadis”” of the Ministry of Health and is implemented by the Information Society MAE in the context of the “National Recovery and Resilience Plan of Greece 2.0” with funding from the European Union NextGenerationEU.

The amount of financial assistance per recipient (child) is forty euros and is credited to digital map. Balance each digital debit card may cover all or part of the actual cost of the beneficiary’s estimated dental servicesbut not more than the amount indicated above.
