Early this morning an earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale occurred in Crete, near Ierapetra.
According to the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the epicenter of the earthquake was 66 kilometers south/southeast of the island of Chrissi, the depth of its source was 6.2 km.
