girl with "with golden legs"

Model Lauren Wasser’s life changed forever after she used a tampon during Women’s Day that turned out to be contaminated with Staphylococcus aureus.

The girl developed toxic shock syndrome (TSS), a rare life-threatening condition that usually develops as a result of infection with the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus (staph).

Wasser, who suffered organ failure, unstable blood pressure, a heart attack and an extremely high fever after using the tampon, was placed in an induced coma and placed on life support.

However, having gained strength and began to actively fight for her life, the model still survived, despite the fact that doctors gave her only a 1 percent chance.

After a courageous girl suffered a heart attack, she had one leg amputated below the knee and only her toes on the other. But a year ago the second leg also had to be amputated.

Despite this, Lauren enjoys life and continues her modeling career – now with gold-colored prosthetics.
