Thousands of illegal immigrants have flooded the center of Rhodes town, turning it into a “hot spot”

The center of the city of Rhodes has in fact turned into a large refugee camp, as hundreds of illegal immigrants have set up a “camp” on its streets. They cook, eat and defecate in the city’s central park, between the post office and the Dodecanese police headquarters, waiting to be transported to shelters on the islands of Kos and Leros!

The situation that has developed over the past two weeks has reached explosive and dangerous proportions. The head of the regional police, Manolis Androulakis, in a conversation with Rodia, called the situation tragic and emphasized that the problem is becoming more acute due to the daily increase in the flow.

At the same time, the island’s police stations, according to Rodia, are “in the process of being dismantled” and their officers are bending over backwards to meet the needs of the services, as well as cope with the flow of illegal aliens, which has increased sharply recently, especially on the island Rhodes.

It should be noted that this year Rhodes experienced a catastrophe of terrifying proportions – the entire island was literally burned by fires in July.

Thus, after the fires, the government leaves the “Emerald Isle” at the mercy of illegal immigrants, no matter what this means for the safety of residents. What is happening in Rhodes bears an unpleasant resemblance to Chloraka in Cyprus, where, due to the growing number of illegal immigrants, real “ghettos” have formed, and foreigners daily threaten residents with clubs and knives.

At some stage, local residents will rebel and ethnic unrest will begin. There is no need to explain which side the Mitsotakis government will take. The experience of the 2020 unrest has already shown whose interests the current authorities of the country support…
