The Ukrainian Armed Forces broke through the defense line in the Bakhmut direction

The commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Alexander Syrsky, said that as a result of the successful actions of Ukrainian troops in the Bakhmut direction, the enemy’s defense line was broken.

The Russian army is conducting numerous counterattacks in different directions in an attempt to regain lost positions in the liberated Andreevka and Kleshcheevka near Bakhmut, says Syrsky:

“After all, these small, at first glance, settlements were important elements of the enemy’s defensive line, stretching from Bakhmut to Gorlovka. As a result of the successful actions of our troops, the enemy’s defense line was broken, which he tried to close, throwing all available reserves into battle.”

The Commander of the Ground Forces also said, writes publication “Strana” that during the battles the 72nd separate motorized rifle brigade, 31 and 83 separate air assault brigades of the Russian Federation were “broken and completely lost their combat capability.” Previously, Andreevka and Kleshcheevka were liberated, which, according to him, opens the way to Bakhmut, writes euronews.
