"Fun sex": 37-year-old man accused of raping 19-year-old girl

A 37-year-old visitor to the island of Zakynthos was arrested on September 15 in a spontaneous procedure in Laganas by police officers. A case of rape and violation of weapons laws was opened against the man.

He gave the 19-year-old girl “laughing gas” to breathe in, and when she became dizzy, he raped her. A man has been arrested as part of an investigation into a complaint that a British woman was raped at a hotel in Laganas in the early hours of yesterday. According to ERT Zakynthos, the girl complained that she entered the room and he gave her “some substance” to breathe. She became dizzy, and the man took advantage of her helpless state (she could not resist) and raped her.

During searches in the detainee’s room, the following were found and confiscated:

• 45 rounds of 32 mm caliber and

• 2 cylinders of laughing gas (nitrous oxide) with an inhalation device.

The preliminary investigation is being carried out by the Zakynthos Police Department. The arrested person was taken to the prosecutor’s office for criminal cases.

Recently, doctors are increasingly having to save those who like to cheer themselves up with the help of so-called “laughing gas.” An anesthetic drug, nitrous oxide, is pumped into balloons. Uninitiated people have no idea WHAT is in the multi-colored balls that decorate the entertainment establishment. From the point of view of the law, nothing prohibited is happening, but doctors are horrified – Each breath of laughing gas may be your last.

Nitrous oxide is the first gas in the history of medicine that was used for anesthesia. But during operations, the substance is introduced into the patient’s body in doses, through filters, and is always diluted with oxygen. One breath of nitrous oxide in its pure form can result in complex mental illness, infertility, and heart failure. And these are just the most harmless consequences.

“Nitrous oxide depresses breathing. It has a tendency to accumulate in the lungs, which can be fatal. Sometimes an ambulance, if it arrives in, say, 40-50 minutes (which is not uncommon), may not have time to save the victim of laughing gas “, says the doctor.

Nitrous oxide is not on the list of prohibited drugs. However, there are people who are hooked on it. “It doesn’t matter – a person breathes, sniffs, injects, takes pills, addiction is formed in the same way, because it is a chemical substance that still enters the brain,” explains the narcologist.
