Mother left 8 minor children alone at home

A mother from Heraklion, Crete, allegedly left her 8 minor children at home, according to authorities.

Police immediately arrived at the family’s home on Friday, September 15, following a complaint from neighbors. They discovered that eight children were alone in the house, the youngest being three months old. As established, a 31-year-old Greek woman left 8 children at home alone, without adult supervision.

Let us remember that 4 months ago a similar incident occurred: a mother, a resident of the same city, abandoned her three minor children, putting their lives and health at risk. The police involved a psychologist and a social worker from a special school in the case. On May 26, they went to the mother’s house and found that the children had been alone for more than 24 hours. One of them is disabled and needed special care.

The whereabouts of the unfortunate mother are being established and she is being brought to justice.
