Europe has its own interests, despite the objections of Ukraine


Fuel from Russian oil flooded EUthe purchase of oil products of Russian origin from third countries is part of the West’s strategy to maintain stable prices.

How tells Politico, China, Turkey and India are actively processing oil from Russia into gasoline and kerosene, and selling fuel to other countries. India’s imports of Russian oil reached 69 million barrels in May 2023, almost ten times more than during the same period in 2021.

At the same time, Indian fuel exports to Europe increased sharply. In June, India delivered 5.1 million barrels of diesel fuel and 3.2 million barrels of jet fuel to the European Union. In June 2021, these figures were 1.68 and 0.51 million barrels, respectively.

Ukraine calls to support a ban on the supply of all refined products to the G7 countries in cases where they were produced using Russian oil. But this idea is unlikely to find much support, the newspaper notes. Experts believe that the purchase of oil products from third countries of Russian origin is part of the West’s strategy to maintain stable prices.
