Thursday, August 31 is the deadline for submitting tax returns. But you can still make it – you can do it today until 15:00.
After the deadline, accountants and citizens will not be able to file tax returns, with the exception of persons included in the category of victims of fires. Those who “forget” to file a declaration are threatened with fines ranging from 100 to 500 euros and a corresponding increase in tax accrued to them, recalls CNN Greece.
So far, more than 6,265,316 tax returns have been filed out of a total of 6,500,000. According to relevant announcements by ΑΑΔΕ and the Ministry of National Economy and Finance, the deadline for filing tax returns has been extended exclusively for those affected by the fires.
In particular, the terms of payment are extended and the collection of established debts from individuals and legal entities with a main place of residence, a registered office or a commercial enterprise in areas affected by fires is suspended for six months.
