17 thefts in tourist rooms in Rhodes: "booty" 50 thousand euros

Law enforcement agencies have uncovered 17 thefts that occurred in tourist rooms in Rhodes. A group of three Greeks stole money and valuables totaling more than 50,000 euros.

The absence of residents in their rooms at the tourist sites where they stayed – in the areas of Kolymbia, Afantou, Faliraki and Paradisi – was used by a group of Greeks who committed burglaries, stealing money and valuables worth more than 50 thousand euros.

The thefts that took place between July 17 and last Monday are being investigated by the security police. One of the three criminals has been identified. The man was arrested.

During the investigation and interrogation, the attacker pointed to three “cache” where he and his accomplices hid the wanted jewelry and money. The car used by the thieves was confiscated. The offender was brought to justice for systematic theft.
