The most popular archaeological site in Athens will be temporarily closed due to extreme temperatures. Today, Friday, July 14, from 12:00 to 17:00, the Acropolis will be closed to visitors.

The Ephorate of Antiquities of the City of Athens informs that today, Friday 14 July 2023, the archaeological site of the Acropolis will suspend its work at noon with the last entry at 12:00 and resumption of work at 17:00. The areas of the Ancient Agora and Kerameikos will remain accessible, where you can visit the Archaeological Museums.
Yesterday, our publication reported that the Ministry of Tourism of Greece announced on the termination of the activities of the Coco-Mat hotel in the Athens district of Koukaki, because its owner did not comply with the government’s decision to demolish the two upper floors, as they obscure the view of the Acropolis.
