Youth Pass: who is it for and how to get it

The Youth Pass will be a permanent measure of government support for young people entering adulthood.

It will be issued upon reaching the age of 18-19. According to experts, writes CNN Greece, 200,000 young people will be the beneficiaries each year, and the budgetary costs will amount to approximately 30 million euros per year.

Youth Pass will be available upon digital application for vouchers.gov.gr. To enter the platform, Taxisnet codes will be required, and in response to the application, the beneficiary will receive an SMS to e-mail about the issuance of the Youth Pass, its validity period and information about the use.

The first year of using the Youth Pass will be 2024. The cost of support will be 150 euros (they will not be cashed out). This amount can be spent on:

  • payment for all types of transport – taxis, buses, trains, ferries, air tickets;
  • rent of cars and yachts;
  • payment for hotels;
  • visiting theaters and cinemas, concerts.
