A 15-year-old teenager was beaten up by unidentified people for wearing a Greek Air Force T-shirt

On Saturday afternoon in the center of Thessaloniki, hooded men beat a 15-year-old teenager for wearing a T-shirt with the emblem of the National Air Force and the flag of Greece on the sleeve.

The complaint was filed by the teenager’s father, who, speaking of the perpetrators, explains: “I want to hunt them down, I want to catch them,” according to thestival.gr.

Saturday, 20:30, the center of Thessaloniki. The teenager was at the intersection of Alexandru Svolu and National Defense streets with a friend of the same age. According to him, they were suddenly stabbed in the back by two adult men who were wearing hooded sweatshirts. The injured teenager fell to the ground, and the attackers continued to kick him on the body and head, breaking two ribs. Having brutally beaten him, the criminals fled in an unknown direction.

The teen’s father, Georgios Karapiperis, claims his son was attacked by far-leftists because he was wearing a National Air Force T-shirt with a Greek flag on his sleeve. “I’m 1000% sure that they beat him for the shirt,” he stresses in an interview with thestival.gr. “Because he was wearing a T-shirt with symbols. Was it necessary to beat him? Did he provoke?”

The teenager was hospitalized in the hospital “Georgios Gennimatas” for three days with two broken ribs. “My child has bruises all over his body,” Mr. Karapipeperis says indignantly.

Today the boy returned home, but psychologically he is still in a state of shock from the unprovoked attack. “We get daily calls from the police to find out how he is, so that we testify at the police department about everything that happened. He still can’t. He’s shocked, I can see it in his eyes, he’s scared,” explains Georgios Karapiperis . Fear was transmitted to the teenager’s friends, who learned about what had happened. “His friends don’t come to the center anymore, they are afraid,” says Mr. Karapiperis.

In fact, he does not hide his annoyance at the fact that there was no one to help his son, who was attacked. “I think it’s absurd. At least someone had to call 100, no more. It’s just three digits. Today it’s my child, tomorrow it will be someone else,” he says.

The teenager’s father is still outraged by the senseless and cowardly attack on his son and his friend. He says he wants to hunt them down and capture them himself. “It’s better for them if the police find them, not me. I haven’t hurt a single mosquito in my entire life. But don’t let me find them first, they’ll be very unlucky in life. I want to hunt them down and catch them. I I’ll tell the police too. Whichever of us catches them first. I won’t leave it like that. These two need to be punished, they need to understand what punishment is.”

The father of a minor boy intends to go to court. On Wednesday, he will file a complaint against unidentified persons for this incident, and the relevant authorities will call the teenager to testify.

PS Georgios Karapiperis is taking a big risk by making such statements. After all, if there was any problem with the attackers, he would be arrested and blamed for what happened. According to the laws of Greece, lynching is a criminal matter. And even if you are attacked, you must call the police, but do not resist. For the infliction of bodily harm to the attacker will not be considered as forced self-defense, such an article in the Criminal Code of Greece simply does not exist. And as a result, the victim will easily turn into a perpetrator.
