A night visit to the Holy Mount of the Acropolis (Ιερό Βράχο της Ακρόπολης) was made on June 21, 2023 by Barack Obama with his wife Michelle and daughters Malia and Sasha.
Barack Obama has been in Greece for several days now. Today, June 22, he will speak at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation at a mental health conference.
On Wednesday evening he visited meeting of “leaders of the Obama Foundation”, held in one of the hotels in the center of Athens, and at the end of the “working program” decided to take a walk and visited the Acropolis. The Obama family’s visit to the Holy Mountain was not reported due to security concerns.
The tour was… private – exclusively for the former US President, his wife and daughters. The family visited the Parthenon and the Acropolis Museum.
As we reported earlier, Obama and his family arrived at Paros airport last Friday and took a ferry to the small island of Antiparos to visit Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson. An “army” of guards and agents ensured that the family of the former US president was not interfered with by photographers and film crews. Relaxed days in the central Aegean were short lived as Barack Obama is invited to the Nostos leadership conference in Athens.
This is Barack Obama’s second visit to Greece since 2016.
