The Alternative for Germany, a right-wing German party, advocates the dissolution of the European Union. This is stated in the draft election program of the party, presented by the federal commission of the party, Welt quotes:
“Our patience with EU exhausted. We therefore seek an orderly dissolution of the EU and the creation in its place of a new European Economic Community of Interest, a union of European nations.”
Document saysthat the European Union and its globalist elites have long departed from the original ideas of the founding fathers of the European community, turning the EU into an “undemocratic construct” attracting more and more violence and “run by an uncontrolled bureaucracy.”
Alternative for Germany plans to achieve the dissolution of the European Parliament and resist further restrictions on national sovereignty in favor of the EU. According to the authors of the project, the decision on Germany’s entry into the new European community, created instead of the union, should be made at a national referendum.
It is worth noting that the latest polls show a convincing increase in the popularity of the party to record values for the entire time of its existence. For example, a June poll by the YouGov Institute showed that 20% of voters were ready to vote for the AfD. This is one percentage point more than for the main party in the ruling SPD coalition. Only the opposition Christian Democratic Union (CDU) has a higher rating: 28%.
