Eligible for a tax refund, 270,000 taxpayers have yet to receive money from ΑΑΔΕ. And, as it turns out, they themselves are to blame.
To unlock a process, you must indicate the IBAN of your account on the myAADE digital portal.
This year, income tax returns are on the fast track, with money appearing in beneficiaries’ bank accounts much faster than ever. True, this does not apply to everyone, but only to those who are “clean” before the tax service and social insurance funds, that is, they have no debts.
However, 270,000 citizens and businesses still have not received the money they are entitled to – they have not provided an IBAN. For almost half of the “forgetful” taxpayers, refunds have already been prepared, and this is the only “obstacle” to receiving a certain amount.
However, the process does not speed up even after ΑΑΔΕ emailed them asking them to declare their IBAN immediately and receive a credited refund. Of the 307,000 recipients of this message, only 35,000 responded with a bank account number.
The Independent State Tax Office once again suggests that you declare your IBAN as soon as possible in order to receive the amount of the refund to which they are entitled. How to do it?
Please note that IBAN is declared exclusively on the myAADE digital portal (myaade.gov.gr), in the “Registration and Contacts” section, using TAXISnet codes. ΑΑΔΕ draws the attention of taxpayers to safety and calls for:
Ignore any emails that appear to be from gov. gr, ΑΑΔΕ or the tax office (“your tax office”, as attackers often point out) that ask for information or bank account confirmation to receive a tax refund, or contain a hyperlink (link) to register IBAN details. These emails are NOT from AADE, are misleading and should be deleted immediately.
