On Wednesday, June 14, employees of five major public museums in Greece will suspend work in protest against a law that changes the status of their museums.
List of museums that will stop working:
- National Archaeological Museum in Athens
- Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki
- Archaeological Museum in Heraklion, Crete
- Byzantine and Christian Museum in Athens
- Museum of Byzantine Culture in Thessaloniki
A break during work will start at noon on Wednesday and will last until the end of the shift.
Workers’ unions are also planning to hold a protest outside the building of the Ministry of Culture at 13:00 on June 14, 2023.
