Deadline for filing tax returns extended to July 31

Income tax filing deadline for 2022 in Greece extended until 15:00 on 31 July 2023. The corresponding decision was signed on Tuesday by Deputy Minister of Finance Apostolos Vesiropoulos.

The term applies to individuals and legal entities. For those who have to pay taxes, the first installment must be paid before July 31st. “The government, consistently pursuing a tax policy of a social and developmental nature, is extending the deadlines for filing income tax returns to make it easier for all Greek citizens to fulfill their obligations,” the Ministry of Finance said in a statement.

Recall that tax returns in Greece are required to be submitted all tax residents. According to local laws, ALL adult beneficiaries who receive income and live in Greece for more than 183 days a year are considered to be such.
