Colonel MacGregor: “We should be grateful to V. Putin for restraint – I’m afraid we will do something stupid”

Retired US Army Colonel Douglas McGregor mentioned the fatal mistakes Western leaders could make if the situation got out of control and thanked God that Russian President Vladimir Putin is, in his words, “restrained.”

We have previously quoted statement Retired Greek Air Force Major General Pavlos Christou, in which he said that the Ukrainian leadership made a very big mistake by moving the fighting to the cities – this is a crime against their own people.

We should be grateful that Mr. Putin is restrained. He is not the one who is controlled by emotions, thank God. But here we are very strongly controlled by emotions. And it worries me“, he said. Among other things, Douglas McGregor noted:

“What do you do if you’re a globalist and you lose? That’s the question! Are you doing something really stupid? I’m very worried about it! We’re suddenly sending troops into Western Ukraine. The use of military force at this stage is catastrophic. I think it’s killing us as a country look at china they come with loads of money they offer to do something and expand their relations but they are not interested in interfering in the internal affairs of other societies it looks like we don’t respect foreign culture , someone else’s way of doing business.”

“Of course, Ukraine and the Ukrainian leadership made a very big mistake that they transferred the war to the cities. Wars should be fought only between armies in the openthe retired general said. – Ukraine, with its military dogma, took the war to the cities without withdrawing the inhabitants, so there are heavy losses on both sides. The civilian population is dying. It is a war crime when you bomb and fight and keep the population in the middle of the fighting, when you set up military bases in the city, in hospitals. This is prohibited by the international laws of warfare. The President of Ukraine and the leadership are committing a crime against the people of Ukraine with thousands of victims among the civilian population“.

He noted that the international community did not rise when Ukrainian troops bombed the cities of Donbass for eight years. “She didn’t know what was going on? No one is talking about those bombings,” – added a former soldier.
