Weather forecast: more rain and storms

From tomorrow, from Wednesday, April 27, showers and storms are again expected in most of Greece, which will replace the sunny warm weather.

According to the National Observatory of Athens/meteo.gr, inclement weather will prevail over most of the mainland, in the central and northern Aegean. Bad weather will be caused by the southeastern movement of atmospheric disturbance in the middle troposphere from the northwestern Balkans towards our country. Tomorrow is expected:

• showers and local thunderstorms;
• lowering the temperature, in some places up to 5°С;
• change in wind direction from southwest to northwest, strengthening it at sea up to 6 points on the Beaufort scale.

According to the RPI classification used by the meteorological service of the National Observatory of Athens, precipitation is classified as moderate. Forecasters predict that in most areas the manifestations of bad weather will weaken by evening. The exceptions will be Eastern Macedonia, Thrace and the islands of the Eastern Aegean Sea, where rainy and windy weather will continue.

In Attica cloudy tomorrow with a small chance of light local rain, local showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon, mainly in the north of the prefecture. These phenomena are expected to subside by the evening. South-westerly wind force 2-3 from noon will change to north-west with an increase of four to five on the Beaufort scale. The air temperature is 15-23°C, two to three degrees lower in the north and west.

In Thessaloniki Showers and possible thunderstorms are expected. Phenomena will gradually weaken towards evening. Wind northwest force up to 3-4 points on the Beaufort scale. Air temperature 13-20°С.
