The European Parliament plans to take tough measures regarding the use of artificial intelligence.
For example, chatbot developers will be required to submit a declaration confirming the use of copyright materials in AI, writes Financial Times, citing sources familiar with the process.
MEPs are close to agreeing on a set of proposals that will become part of a European law on artificial intelligence – it will be a massive set of regulations on the use of artificial intelligence. The publication notes:
“Among the measures likely to be proposed by MPs is an obligation for developers of products such as ChatGPT and OpenAI to declare whether copyrighted material is being used to train their AI models, which would allow content creators to demand payment. MEPs also want Misuse of AI programs was blamed on developers like OpenAI, not on the smaller companies that use them.”
Prolonged discussions have caused a proposal to ban the use of facial recognition in public places under any circumstances. EU member states, under pressure from their national police forces, are expected to oppose a complete ban on biometrics, the sources say.
Discussions have been going on for nearly two years on AI control measures, and agreement is needed to start broader negotiations on the law. The law is supposed to contain some of the toughest rules for the development of artificial intelligence, and it came in the wake of growing concern about potential abuse technology, according to the Financial Times.
After the parliament has agreed on its position, the Member States EUthe EC and MEPs will work together to finalize the draft law in order to pass it before the end of the current term of the European Parliament in 2024.

Initial information suggests that photos of women are taken on social networks – Instagram, Facebook. Then AI comes to the rescue, which “undresses” the ladies, and then the photo is distributed in Telegram. Most of the photos are of minors.
