In the Kherson region, a car with an employee of the teaching staff was blown up

As a result of a car explosion in the Kherson region, an employee of the patrol service of the OMVD of the Novokakhovsk city department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who was in the car with his wife and daughter, died.

Press Service of the Information Center of the Investigative Committee of Russia informs:

“The investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Kherson region opened a criminal case on the fact of the murder of the platoon commander of the police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Novokakhovka GO of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kherson Region, committed in a generally dangerous way, as well as on the fact of the attempted murder of his wife, the chief of staff of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Novokakhovsky GO of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kherson region and an adult daughters.

According to the investigation, on March 17, 2023, an unidentified person planted a special device under the left fender of a VAZ-2121 car, which was driven by a platoon commander of the police department of the Novokakhovka GO of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kherson region. Later, when the man and his family were driving in the aforementioned car along the village of Yubileyny, Aleshkinsky district, Kherson region, an explosion occurred, as a result of which a police officer died on the spot, his wife and daughter were injured.

Investigators and criminologists of the regional department examined the scene. The necessary investigative actions and operational-search measures are currently being carried out.

The incident was reported on Sunday, March 19, by the deputy of the Kherson Regional Council Serhiy Khlan on Facebook. According to him, explosives were placed under the wing of the car.
