Tens of thousands of Greeks came out today to mass protest rallies organized by trade unions and leftist political parties. Now rallies are taking place in Athens, Thessaloniki, Agrinio and other cities of the country.
Tens of thousands of demonstrators, convened by the trade union association PAME, reached Syntagma and continued to the Hellenic Train offices on Petmeza Street.
The demonstration in Athens is under the slogan:
- “People of war, they drink your blood.”
- “Let there be a turning point now, this crime should not be hidden.”
- “You count profits and losses, we count human lives.”

A large number of schoolchildren and students came to the rally in Athens.

According to the police, 5,000 citizens have already gathered in the Propylaea, but judging by the photographs, there are many more demonstrators, including members of PAME, organizations and unions, ELME, etc.
EL.AS mentions 1,000 people at Syntagma, where the Hellenic Train Workers, Hellenic Aviation Industry, trade unions and GSEEhowever, judging by the photographs, there are at least 3-4 times more people there.
According to Efsin, 1,000 participants are in Klatmonos Square and 800 in Kolokotroni Square.
Many residents of Agrinio took to the protest march
A large number of residents of Agrinio took part in the protest. Participants shout slogans: “Do not hide the crime in Tempi, human lives are not valued.”
Thousands of residents of Thessaloniki honor the memory of the dead, expressing their sadness, but also their anger. The demonstration began with a rally at the statue of Venizelos and continued with a march to the city center.
