"Distribution of positions by pull": the head of the station Larisa found "high" patron

Journalists Zugla asked their readers: “How many ordinary citizens can be proud of how they were received by the prime minister and the state minister to his right and Mr. Gerapetritis’s immediate partner at the core of political power? Few … almost none.”

However, there is a photograph that shows how some of those who are more “equal” than others are able to gain access to the “body” of the prime minister and members of his team. In normal times, no one would have paid attention to this photographic document. However, after the tragic accident in Tempi, when anger and collective grief accumulated in society, such documents take on special significance.

In the photo we see a woman to the left of the prime minister. This is the sister of Vassilis Samaras, head of the Larisa station. Her name is Lambrini Samara-Kirkou. On the right in the photo we see Professor Gerapetritis. Ms. Samara-Kirkou visited the Prime Minister’s office as a member of the Presidium of the Association of Spouses of the Deceased ΑΞ.Ι.Α to solve some problems concerning this association. A publication on the Patris News website in May 2021 confirms this meeting.

However, the photo also confirms other circumstances that relate to the political background of the tragedy in Tempi.

For a long twenty-four hours we followed the journey of the station master Vassilis Samaras from the luggage compartment ose to the Ministry of Education and then back to OSE to Doom Station. We know almost everything. On Wednesday morning, the puzzle was completed by a new revelation from former minister and New Democracy MP Kostas Zavaras. According to an experienced lawyer and politician, training and hiring a stationmaster at OSE was illegal.

In the following lines, we reveal one more detail. Vassilis Samaras was first appointed stationmaster at Kalambaka, where there is a terminal station with little traffic and no branch lines. From there, he was transferred to Larissa at the end of January 2023, i.e. one of the most difficult and challenging positions in the OSE network.

As it turned out, the final decision on hiring (or re-hiring) Vassilis Samaras to work at OSE was signed a few days ago by OSE President and CEO Spyros Patras. Apparently after a phone call from one of the key people in the state…

So we’re back to the heart of the matter. As follows from the emerging evidence, Vassilis Samaras did not need the help of MP from Larisa Stella Biziou. Circumstances in the first days after the tragedy were inexorable. It turned out that the MP’s secretary, Sotiria Papadopoulou, was related (bridesmaid) to the daughter of the head of the station. Everything else, buffoonery and unjustified, unnatural displacements-rearrangements of Vassilis Samaras, were inevitably connected with these family relations in the political office of the deputy.

But again, the new evidence that was presented showed that Vassilis Samaras did indeed have a powerful patron and is in the prime minister’s administration. Megaro Maximu. In other words, he did not depend on MP Stella Biziu. The deputy at a critical and tense moment fell victim to inexorable circumstances.

Finally, the tangle is unraveled, and gradually everything becomes clear. Vassilis Samaras’ re-employment at OSE was illegal. The approval of his application for the post of stationmaster was illegal. His preparation was criminally insufficient. The approval of his appointment to Larissa was also the result of criminal negligence. Undoubtedly, as this horror story unfolds, other aspects will be revealed that will make up the final picture of this eternal crime in a country where an oligarchic-clan governance structure is hidden under the name of democracy …
