A 45-year-old patient with liver failure is undergoing a liver transplant at the Hippocrates Hospital in Thessaloniki. Earlier today, one of the kidneys was also donated to the Hippocrateo Hospital. The second kidney was taken to Ioannina Hospital, and the heart was taken to the Onassios Center for Cardiac Surgery in Athens, so that after checking for compatibility, the transplant procedure could begin.
