Armed robbery of a famous candy store

The armed robbery took place on Saturday evening in one of the most famous pastry shops in Western Attica, in Peristeri, on Etnarchou Makariou street.

According to iefimerida, at 10:40 p.m. a man wearing a helmet entered the store and approached the employee, threatening him with a gun. The cashier gave him the entire contents of the device, about 4,000 euros, after which the robber jumped on a motorcycle parked at the door of the confectionery and disappeared in an unknown direction.

West Attica Police Department officers are collecting footage from surveillance cameras in the area to identify the vehicle and determine if it belongs to the perpetrator (or was stolen) in order to identify him.

In Greece, there has recently been an increase in the number of crimes in which firearms were used. In addition, law enforcement officers revealed more than 100 facts of its illegal sale, transfer, acquisition, storage and transportation.
