Germany: Greeks abroad support their compatriots in Athens

These days Germany is hosting a Christmas charity event of great social significance.

As part of the efforts to create a network of school cooperation in the field of teaching Greek abroad, four schools of compatriots (Ομογενειακά Σχολεία) in Germany join forces and hold the action “Η φλόγα της χριστουγεννιάτικης αγάκης αγάκης αγάης αγάης αγάνννιάτικης αγάνννιάτικης αγάης αγάης αγάης αγάης αγάης αγάης αγά

The Greek Faculties of Waiblingen and Feuerbach-Burgholzhof, and the Free Schools of Heidelberg and Schweikheim (Waiblingen και Feuerbach-Burgholzhof) in the Baden-Württemberg Community (Germany) intend to demonstrate the true meaning of Christmas, which gives loved ones hope and warmth.

The leadership decided to join forces in the context of a wider collaboration for students to create Christmas wish cards. Children’s arts and crafts products, colorful postcards created by them, will be available for shopping during the Christmas holidays in every school and proceeds from their sale will go to charity for hospitalized children in the hospitals of Hagia Sophia and Aglaia Kyriakou.

As teachers Kalliopi Zarogiannis and Mikael Kontogeorgos told the Voice of Greece (“Φωνή της Ελλάδας”), the Christmas event of the Department of Greek Language TEG Waiblingen took place with great success, where a significant amount was collected for the above purpose from the sale of Christmas cards, and financial support parents and friends of Greek courses. The other day, similar Christmas events will also take place in three other foreign schools in Germany.
