The most harmful, but … favorite foods

Some of the foods we love can lead to serious health problems. Russian nutritionist warns of danger.

According to Doctor of Medical Sciences Mikhail Ginzburg, a nutritionist and director of the Samara Research Institute of Dietology and Diet Therapy, one of the main enemies of mankind is sugar and products containing it. Leadership, he is second only to alcohol, taking second place in terms of harm to the body.

In large quantities, sugar-containing foods shorten lifespan, cause early aging and “trigger” age-related ailments. All kinds of desserts, fat- and sugar-containing pastries, various snacks – crackers, chips and others cause the greatest harm to the body.

Also, sweetened dairy products – yoghurts and curds – pose a health hazard. In addition to sugar, they contain various fats, while manufacturers like to add palm oil, which is even more harmful than milk fat.

The head of the research institute also warned against the frequent consumption of red meat, warning: if you eat it 3-4 times a week, then the likelihood of vascular diseases and colon cancer increases, writes BB.LV.
