The Thessaloniki Police Headquarters, as part of the implementation of special actions and targeted control measures to prevent and combat offenses, arrested 31 citizens.
In particular, the police of the Direct Action Directorate for Aliens and Security of Thessaloniki arrested:
- 7 people on cases of theft. Four of them are members of an Albanian family who stole 20 kg of pepper from a piece of land in the Tagarades district, and it was reported that the father of the family threatened the owner when he caught them at the scene of the crime.
- 7 people for violating the Habituation Substances Act.
- 2 people are wanted. Among them is a 51-year-old man who was awaiting an arrest warrant for tax evasion.
- 5 people for smuggling (sale and storage) of tobacco products.
- 10 people for illegal stay in Greece.
Police checks continue systematically and daily.
