Police are searching for a gunman who opened fire at an Independence Day parade in the Chicago suburb of Highland Park, Illinois. According to the latest data, at least six people died, more than 20 were injured and were taken to the hospital.
Police are looking for a suspect who managed to escape, according to law enforcement, this is a white man with long black hair, aged 18-20 years. Local media report that the shooter was located on the roof of one of the houses near the parade site.

The shooting began at a parade in Highland Park, a fashionable area of the city. The gunman started shooting 10 minutes after the start of the parade. One witness said he counted more than 20 shots.
The criminal has not yet been caught, so the police ordered the residents to hide in their homes. Parade participants fled in panic, throwing things and baby carriages.
Carnage in highland-Parke came just weeks after the Texas elementary school shooting in which a teenager killed 19 young students and two teachers, and the May 14 attack on a supermarket in buffaloNew York, which killed 10 African Americans.
