During a spectacular air show in Battle Creek, in the western US state of Michigan, 40-year-old Shockwave jet truck driver Chris Darnell died at a speed of 482 km / h.
He died at the scene as a result of the accident. RIA Newsby super-speeding a jet-powered truck on the runway of a local airfield, performing in the pyrotechnic part of the show.
The police report says:
“Today at about 13.10 during the performance of Darnell at the air show there was an accident, as a result of which he died.”
Law enforcement, the fire department and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the incident.
