The whole world is following developments in Russia and Ukraine. We all hope that the issue will be resolved through diplomacy. At the same time, our country, as a member of the Western world, treats the issue of Ukraine in the same way as our partners and allies. We have taken and will continue to take measures to ensure that what concerns us in the main, other than the humanitarian issue and the issue of peace and the peaceful settlement of disputes, does not find us defenseless. The country will take action to support the economy and society in relation to the losses or possible further shocks that we will suffer due to natural gas.
At the beginning of this year, the Greek company DEPA announced the conclusion of an agreement with Gazprom on the terms of pricing for Russian natural gas in 2022 and in subsequent years until 2026, that is, until the expiration of the contract. Russian and Greek companies reached an agreement with favorable terms for the Greek market. As representatives of DEPA inform, the company, thanks to this agreement, receives the necessary for the provision of discounts Greek households opportunities.
