On January 25-26, 2022, Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias plans to visit Ukraine. It is reported that within the framework of the visit of the head of Greek diplomacy, on January 26, he will pay a working visit to Mariupol.
During the visit, the head of the Greek Foreign Ministry will meet with the leadership of the Federation of Greek Societies of Ukraine, with the mayor of Mariupol, as well as with leaders and activists of Greek societies in Ukraine. The Minister is also planning a trip to Sartana.
Syria, Libya and Ukraine, “in which Greece is of particular interest because of the significant number of Greek emigrants in the wider Mariupol area,” are among the topics European foreign ministers discussed at today’s meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council. about it declared on Monday, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias upon his arrival for a meeting.
This visit is not indicated on the website of the Greek Foreign Ministry, however, Dendias is expected in Mariupol on January 26, as there is a publication on website Greek Community of Ukraine.
