The Greek Church encourages unvaccinated believers to take a rapid or molecular test before visiting holy temples.
The Holy Synod calls on the clergy and all believers to comply with all protective measures – those who are not vaccinated to undergo diagnostic tests (Rapid or pcr), and those who were vaccinated 6 months ago to receive a third dose. It emphasizes the obligation of priests, nuns and singers, in the absence of vaccinations, to be tested twice a week (express or pcr). Church councils took it upon themselves to exercise control over this.
Circular issued after yesterday interview with Kyriakos Mitsotakis at MEGA and after the communion of the Hierarchy of the Church with the Office of the Prime Minister of Greece.
By the way: in no country in Europe there are no measures prohibiting entry into places of worship due to the introduction of restrictive measures during a pandemic.
