Jean-Paul Belmondo died at the age of 88

AFP, citing the actor’s lawyer, reported the death of French theater and film actor Jean-Paul Belmondo.

The lawyer of 88-year-old Belmondo said that he passed away today, September 6, at his home in Paris. The cause of death was not specified. The lawyer notes:

“He has been very tired lately. He left peacefully. “

Popular French actor Belmondo was born on April 9, 1933. In 1956 he made his film debut. He gained fame after his role in the film Jean-Luc Godard “On the last breath”. In total, over the years of his career, Belmondo has played more than a hundred roles.

From 2001 to 2008, the actor took a break from his activities due to the consequences of a stroke, then again pleased the audience with new roles. In 2015, Belmondo announced the end of his creative career, but withstood only 2 months. He stated that he had changed his mind and was ready to consider proposals if they were received.
