Ireland: attraction crashed on people

In Northern Ireland, there was a dramatic incident: an attraction collapsed on people in the Planet Fun amusement park, injuring six visitors, Breaking News Now reports.

On Saturday, July 24, there was a malfunction at one of the park’s attractions – a broken swing hit the building and fell on the visitors standing around.

Six suffered – three children were hospitalized, their condition is stable. Three more escaped with light confirmation, they were assisted at the scene. One of the vacationers who were next to the attraction told The Sun:

“All the swings were held on ropes, and at one point everyone started to fall. It was terrible.”

He says that the visitors were very frightened, some were in a state of shock. It is unlikely that any of them will forget about the incident in the future, so “they will no longer be able to visit amusement parks.”

Robin Swann, Minister of Health for Northern Ireland, says:

“Several people, including children, were taken to the hospital, fortunately none of them sustained life-threatening injuries.”

A spokesman for Planet Fun, which is licensed to conduct entertainment, said a special commission would investigate the incident. The company will cooperate with experts at all stages.
