Although most of the country can have fine weather, Epirus was hit by heavy hail on Saturday 10/07 amid heavy winds.
Storm wind and hail were recorded by meteorologists in Epirus, cars were blocked. Cataclysms of nature never cease to amaze. According to eyewitnesses, “just a few minutes ago there was sunny weather, when a hurricane suddenly flew in and hail fell from the sky.”
Bad weather in full swing unfolded in the southern part of the region, causing problems both on the national road Ioannina (Arta), and on the highway Egnatia, the intersection of Ioannina with Drosochori. Fire services removed several trees felled by the hurricane and bulky items carried by the wind.
In several areas, judging by the image, passed strong hail, resulting in damage to agriculture.
