Germany: over 100,000 residents have received confirmation of complete vaccination by mistake

Tens of thousands of residents of Germany, the federal state of Brandenburg, received false reports on June 16 about their full vaccination cycle.

An employee of the German Red Cross accidentally broke the ampoule of Pfizer / BioNTech and, fearing repayment, replaced the drug with saline. Six people received vaccinations. The incident was reported by health officials from Lower Saxony, where the incident took place in a vaccination center in the Friesland region.

Only a few days later, the nurse shared the incident with a colleague, and he informed the management. Health authorities report that saline is not harmful to health, but it is necessary to determine who exactly received a harmless injection instead of vaccination. This will require antibody tests.

And in January in the German city of Stralsund, in the northeastern state of Mecklenburg, 8 people from a nursing home received a five-fold vaccination with BioNTech. The senior staff were 66-82 years old. The incident was reported by the administration of the district where the institution for the elderly is located. Its head Stefan Kert said:

“I deeply regret what happened. This situation is associated with a single error. I wish all the victims that they do not have serious side effects. “

Four of those vaccinated soon after being vaccinated developed flu symptoms and were admitted to hospital for precautionary reasons. The three spent only one night there.
