Since Tuesday, Russia will resume air traffic with Turkey. On the first day alone, 33 flights are planned.
Tatyana Golikova, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, last Friday announced the resumption of flights with Turkey. Recep Yavuz, head of the working group on tourism of the Antalya City Council, told RIA Novosti yesterday that about 10 thousand Russian tourists are expected to arrive today, on Tuesday:
“At the moment, tomorrow there are 33 flights, which is about 10 thousand tourists. In the coming days this figure will increase and, I hope, will reach the arrival of 20-25 thousand Russian guests a day. In the next 4 months, about four million tourists from Russia may arrive. Russians make up (this year) 40% of all tourists in Antalya province. “
The optimistic interlocutor reports that the resumption of flights “has become a great moral source for both tourists and those who work in the tourism sector.”
