Gasoline assault on a woman

Once again, the well-known local police “Kamel” (Κάμελ), who instilled fear in the women of Volos, attacking them with gasoline, was in custody.

On Saturday afternoon 5/06, in a city park, a 38-year-old attacker suddenly approached an unsuspecting woman with a bottle splashed with some kind of yellow liquid, most likely with gasoline, and terrorized her, threatening to douse her.

The young woman reportedly managed to escape from an inadequate bystander and immediately reported the incident to the police.

A few minutes later, representatives of the authorities handcuffed the detained “Kamel”, who would be taken to the prosecutor of the Volos court of first instance.

It is known that the city dweller recently tried to commit suicide twice, and wanted to be placed in a psychiatric institution. However, doctors believe that he does not need hospital treatment, since his disease is not one of those for which hospitalization is required.

In the past, the man was arrested several times for assaulting women with gasoline. And for attacking a girl who was walking her dog in December 2019, he threw a stone, as a result of which he was sentenced to 60 days in prison.
