"Cot" Barbie Phone is for those who are tired of the Internet (video)

Human Mobile Devices has unveiled a flip-up Barbie Phone for “taking a break from the internet,” with sales starting August 28, 2024.

The phone was developed in collaboration with Mattel. HMD approvalit creates a sense of nostalgia and adds a bit of humor to the daily lives of its owners. But most importantly, the development allows you to take a break from the Internet and smartphones. In a statement, HMD said:

“The charming phone has a retro design with calls, text messages and no social media – perfect for a break from using a smartphone. The flip phone brings back the joy of simple, pleasant days. Call your best friends, make dates and tell them where to meet.”

The new phone is equipped with a 2.8-inch main display (320×240 pixels) and a 1.77-inch display (160×120 pixels) on the outer panel. The new product has a Unisoc T107 processor, 64 MB of RAM and storage up to 128 MB. The memory can also be expanded thanks to a 32 GB microSD.

HMD Barbie Phone received a 1,450 mAh battery, a VGA camera (0.3 MP), a Bluetooth 5.0 wireless module, a USB Type-C connector and a 3.5 mm Jack for classic wired headphones.

The phone runs on the S30+ operating system. It weighs 123.5 g and measures 201×55.1×10.9 mm when open and 108.4×55.1×18.9 mm when closed. The package includes two replaceable back covers, a pink USB-C cable, a removable pink battery, a beaded cord and pendant, a napkin, and stickers:
