According to the latest polls, Kamala Harris is ahead of Donald Trump in Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. She has raised $100 million for her campaign.
However, as previous years have shown, polls are often wrong. On Election Day 2016, for example, most polls suggested that Hillary Clinton had virtually no chance of losing to Donald Trump. Reality has shown that the pollsters were seriously mistaken.
The unprecedented change in candidate required the Democratic Party to start the presidential campaign virtually from scratch.
