Polls in Several US States Released – Harris Takes Lead

According to the latest polls, Kamala Harris is ahead of Donald Trump in Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. She has raised $100 million for her campaign.

However, as previous years have shown, polls are often wrong. On Election Day 2016, for example, most polls suggested that Hillary Clinton had virtually no chance of losing to Donald Trump. Reality has shown that the pollsters were seriously mistaken.

The unprecedented change in candidate required the Democratic Party to start the presidential campaign virtually from scratch. But Joe Biden’s exit from the race also upset Donald Trump’s plans: he was preparing to take revenge on an elderly white politician whose health is a concern, but ended up with a black woman 18 years his junior.

Trump continues to call names and humiliate Harris. It seems that he simply does not have another election strategy yet. Vance admitted in a private conversation with donors that “the change in the opponent's personality was a blow to them. Harris is younger and does not use Biden's rhetoric, it is more difficult to counter her,” writes WP.

The only older white man left in the race is Trump himself. writes BBC: He has no problem articulating, but Trump's public persona can also alienate voters. At the Biden debate, he refrained from the long, drawn-out monologues on abstract topics for which his rallies are famous, and refrained from personal attacks and insults directed at opponents. Journalists covering his election campaign write that this was the result of long work by his advisers, who are trying to limit Trump's improvisations.
