A twenty-year-old man was arrested for stealing four 2-liter containers of olive oil from a supermarket in Kozani.
This is not the first time this has happened – the police have uncovered two more cases of theft of olive oil from supermarkets of the same chain.
On Saturday 23 March, in the afternoon, a young man went into a supermarket and took out four containers of oil, two liters each, without paying, for a total of 114.81 euros. The unpaid goods were confiscated and the guy was detained.
During the investigation, it was established that on March 19, he took from the same store 3 containers of olive oil, two liters each, with a total value of 85.32 euros. On the sixteenth of March, in another supermarket of the same chain, a guy stole three 2-liter containers of butter, worth 85.32 euros.
The Kozani Security Department has conducted a preliminary investigation, the case against the “olive oil lover” will be transferred to the Kozani criminal prosecutor, writes CNN Greece.
